Senior Accountant - Workday

Job Title: Senior Accountant (CPA) Primary Location: Remote Position Type: Contract (Potential for hire) Overview TalentFish is casting a line for a Senior Accountant III. This is a contract role that is remote. We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to take hands‑on ownership of core accounting functions — including month‑end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting — within their Workday Financials environment. What You Bring to the Role Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with 4+ years of staff accounting experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years; CPA preferred Deep, hands‑on Workday Financials experience across GL, AP/AR, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting Direct ownership of month‑end close and balance sheet reconciliations Strong accounting fundamentals — accruals, adjusting entries, and reconciliations Workday AP or implementation experience a plus; EPIC experience a bonus What You'll Do Execute and support the full month‑end close process with accuracy and accountability Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting within Workday Research accounting rules and regulations and recommend appropriate treatment for accounting issues Support the annual audit, budget process, and required tax filings Review the work of other accountants and serve as an internal consultant on projects within your area of ownership Communicate financial results and accounting processes clearly to leadership and maintain key external relationships Compensation Information The expected salary range for this position is $40-$48 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
