Job Details

The Senior Engineer supports the design and delivery of structural systems for building projects, contributing across project phases from early planning through construction completion, with limited oversight.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support project design decisions based on established requirements, applicable codes, and project constraints.
• Apply engineering principles to support the development of structural solutions.
• Coordinate and review the work of project team members involved in the preparation of construction documents.
• Contribute to the development and review of drawings, specifications, and related project documentation.
• Perform and review structural calculations using appropriate methodologies and layouts.
• Review construction-phase documentation, including RFIs and submittals, as assigned.
• Support the delivery of multiple projects or portions of larger projects with general oversight.
• Assist with project coordination activities, including scope development, scheduling, and budgeting support.
• Participate in project meetings with clients and design teams as needed.
• Maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering
• 5+ years related engineering discipline required; advanced degree
• Professional engineering licensure or the ability to obtain licensure, as applicable.
• Experience supporting the analysis, design, or evaluation of building structures in regulated environments.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and analysis with a moderate level of independence.
• Experience designing or supporting structural systems using common building materials.
• Familiarity with applicable building codes and engineering standards.
• Working knowledge of industry-standard structural analysis, modeling, and drafting software.

Desired Qualifications

• California Structural Engineer license.
• Proficiency with one or more of the following software programs: Python, Rhino, or Grasshopper.
• Participation on project teams delivering complex or regulated projects.
• Experience supporting, coordinating, or mentoring junior team members.
