Technologist Trainee Special Chemistry
$21 - $22 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a Technologist Trainee for its Spokane laboratory to perform routine and complex testing procedures in special chemistry. The role involves specimen processing, instrument operation, quality control, and result reporting in a shift-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols
- Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents and quality control materials
- Execute and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Lab Science, Biology, or Chemistry
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Strong attention to detail with multitasking capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 6+ months prior clinical or hospital laboratory experience (preferred)
Compensation: $21.00-$22.00 per hour plus third shift differentials
