Job Overview A law firm seeks an associate or senior attorney with five to ten years of energy transactional experience to join the Regulatory Affairs group in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will have experience with Power Purchase Agreements, Interconnection Agreements, Large Load matters, electric service agreements, and transmission service matters. Duties Draft and negotiate energy-related agreements. Advise clients on regulatory compliance and transactional matters. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex transactions. Conduct legal research and analysis on energy regulations. Requirements Five to ten years of energy transactional experience. Bar admission in Idaho, Minnesota, Arizona, or Utah, or eligibility to become admitted. Excellent communication and writing skills. Strong academic performance. FERC and/or state regulatory experience preferred. Education JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications Bar admission in relevant states. Skills Strong negotiation and drafting skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
