Communication Specialist

Position : Communication Specialist Date of Posting : August 24, 2026 Expiration of Posting : September 14, 2026 Oakdale Electric Cooperative (OEC) is seeking a qualified Communication Specialist. Under management direction, this role supports communications, digital content, the website, marketing, advertising, sponsorships, events, and community programs. It promotes incentive and energy-saving programs, welcomes new members, prepares monthly publications, and coordinates the Youth Leadership Congress and scholarship program. The role also assists with media coverage and may require evening meetings, travel, and occasional overnight stays. Qualifications Education : Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, business administration, or a related field is required. Work Experience : At least 3 years of experience in communications, public relations, or business, including managing corporate social media accounts. Abilities and Skills : Must have strong organization, communication, writing and problem-solving skills. Must manage several projects and deadlines, work well with employees, members, and community partners, and protect private information. Requires skill in photography, graphic design, social media, website content, and Microsoft 365. Compensation and Benefits OEC offers competitive compensation and benefits.
