Job DescriptionJob Description\nJoin our Team at theDepartment of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in San Francisco, CAas a Physician – Psychiatrist!\nThe incumbent serves as an Attending Psychiatrist for the SFVA Primary Care Mental Health Integration (PCMHI) Clinic in which they provide comprehensive outpatient care within the clinic, supervision and mentorship of UCSF trainees, and also serves as VA faculty back up for on call residents at the SFVA. The incumbent is part of a multidisciplinary team providing general mental health care to Veterans, with a wide array of psychiatric disorders including Major Depression and other Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorders, Schizophrenia and other Psychotic Disorders, and Substance Use Disorders.Major duties include but may not be limited to:\n\n Participate in an effective clinical program with attention to patient outcome indicators.\n Practice within the scope of assigned privileges.\n Comply with the bylaws, rules and regulations of the facility and agency.\n Meet medical staff criteria for initial appointment and reappointment, including ongoing CME.\n Comply with prescribed record keeping practices in accordance with the rules, regulations and bylaws.\n Comply with prescribed information security policy and procedures.\n Work effectively with patients, families, staff, coworkers and other health care professionals.\n Participate in Medical Service educational activities and scheduled meetings.\n Comply with assigned Peer Reviews and maintaining quality assurance standards.\n Complete all assigned health record reviews, peer reviews, etc., within the identified timelines.\n\nBenefits and Features\n\n Expected Salary Range from $285K - $315K (negotiable based on candidate's qualifications, credentials and experience).\n Recruitment/Relocation Incentive (Sign-on Bonus):\n Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment):Authorized\n Work Schedule:8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday-Friday.\n Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases.\n Paid Time Off:50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME) Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA.\n Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement).\n Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA.\n Insurance:Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement).\n Licensure:1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory.\n CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification).\n Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided.\n Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting.\n\nWe encourage you to consider VA employment in San Francisco, CA.
