Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a busy telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MedSurg and telemetry nursing, with a focus on neurology and surgical care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care in a telemetry unit.
• Serve as a primary caregiver for patients with conditions such as strokes, neurological disorders, and post-surgical care.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and EKG strips.
• Administer medications and manage cardiac drips as ordered by the physician.
• Participate in a rotating schedule for weekends and holidays.
• Be flexible and available to float to different units as necessary.
• Utilize Epic for patient charting and documentation.
• Complete orientation consisting of classroom training and hands-on shifts in the unit.

Qualifications:

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a MedSurg-Tele unit, with preference given to candidates with 3 years of experience.
• Strong experience in a fast-paced hospital setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage a large patient load effectively.
• Charge nursing experience is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in interpreting EKG and telemetry data is essential.
• Must possess the flexibility to accommodate scheduling changes and float as required.

• Shifts are typically 12 hours, including day and night rotations.
