Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Stepdown Registered Nurses are sought for a dynamic contract assignment supporting patients transitioning from higher acuity hospital units. This role requires experienced RNs who thrive in fast-paced environments and possess a strong knowledge of stepdown clinical care.

Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license
• Clinical expertise in stepdown or progressive care settings
• Recent experience in the stepdown unit or similar level of acuity
• Excellent assessment and monitoring skills
• Strong communication to collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, patients, and families
• BLS and ACLS certifications (as required)
• Ability to multitask, prioritize care, and respond quickly to changing patient conditions

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive, high-quality nursing care for stepdown/progressive care patients
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, promptly responding to changes in condition
• Administer medications, therapies, and treatments according to physician orders
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for improved patient outcomes
• Document all observations, interventions, and responses accurately in patient charts
• Deliver patient and family education on care needs and recovery plans
• Maintain infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance at all times
• Support and mentor peers as needed during each shift

$2,130 - $2,253/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
