Lead, Procurement

As a Procurement Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our University's success by optimizing our procurement processes, building strong supplier relationships, and driving cost savings.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.

• Analyzing spend data and market trends to optimize sourcing strategies.

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers.

• Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks in the procurement process.

• Driving process improvements and fostering innovation.

• Leading and inspiring the procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

• Identifying and nurturing talent within the procurement team.

• Overseeing the implementation and management of procurement software and digital tools.

• Leading initiatives to modernize procurement systems.

• Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience.

• Minimum Degree Equivalent Qualification; or Equivalent professional procurement experience.

• Strong project and time management skills.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Ability to work well with multiple competing priorities.

• Superior customer service and relationship-building skills.

• Proactive in pursuing learning and development.
