Job DescriptionAs a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic, the employee performs a full range of maintenance, repair and service activities on heavy equipment located on jobsites around Central Arkansas. This mechanic will troubleshoot malfunctions in the equipment and repair accordingly. Must work safely, efficiently, and productively. CDL is preferred but not required. Pay is commensurate with experience (within posted pay range). Competitive benefit package available after waiting period which includes health, wellness, dental, Rx, life insurance, and 401k plan.Basic QualificationsMust have a minimum of two years heavy equipment mechanic experience.Must be willing to travel around Central Arkansas on a daily basis.Must have hand tools.Must have a Valid Driver's License.Must be able to pass a DOT Physical (to obtain a Health Card with McGeorge).Must be willing and able to work 50 hours per week minimum with some Saturdays.McGeorge Contracting Company owns and operates the largest resident fleet of heavy earthmoving and grading equipment in Arkansas - and we put it to good use.
