Dietitian - Cancer Rehab

Registered Dietitian Novant Health Cancer Institute is seeking a compassionate and patient‑focused Registered Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary oncology team. In this role, you will provide nutrition assessments, medical nutrition therapy, education, and counseling to oncology patients through in‑person, telephone, and virtual visits. You will develop individualized nutrition care plans, support disease management, and promote positive behavior change and support patients throughout their journey. The Registered Dietitian will collaborate closely with providers and interdisciplinary team members, maintain timely documentation, and provide ongoing follow‑up care to support patients throughout their cancer journey. Position Highlights Provide nutrition support and counseling for cancer patients Deliver care through individual and group sessions Collaborate with a multidisciplinary oncology team Flexible schedule available Travel to other locations may be required in the Charlotte region to support patients from Lake Norman to Matthews We Offer Competitive benefits package Career advancement opportunities Clinical and non‑clinical positions available Tuition reimbursement Approved Public Student Loan Forgiveness organization What You’ll Do Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients Develop individualized nutrition care plans based on medical history, risk factors, laboratory values, and patient goals Provide medical nutrition therapy for cancer survivors, including management of conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, obesity, and other diseases Educate patients and their families on nutrition intake to support treatment and beyond What We’re Looking For Education: Bachelor’s Degree in dietetics, nutrition, foods and nutrition (required); Graduate Degree preferred Experience: Minimum of one year as a Registered Clinical Dietitian (preferred) Licensure/Certification: Registered Dietitian status by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (required) Licensed Dietitian in appropriate state (required) Required skills: Complete generic and department‑specific skills validation and competency testing; support patient education and engagement in self‑care management, accommodating cultural diversity, age-specific or behavioral needs Preferred skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to relay information to diverse audiences in one‑on‑one consultations, small and large group presentations; dynamic presence for media interviews, health fairs, and other presentations Why Choose Novant Health?
