To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.As a key member of the Lunar Core Components Heat Transfer team, you will be applying your skills to provide thermal hardware expertise to our Lunar vehicle architectures.In this role you will contribute to a team of Thermal Engineers simultaneously developing groundbreaking thermal hardware for lunar landers and driving those designs through build, test, and verification. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Qualifications:Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering3+ years of relevant Thermal Engineering experienceStrong grasp of heat transfer and fluid system fundamentalsFamiliarity with heat exchangers, cold plates, and other common spacecraft hardwareDemonstrated experience designing, sizing, building, and testing hardwareUnderstanding of aerospace hardware verification and validation processModerate experience with CAD software; preferably CreoFamiliarity with computational fluid dynamic (CFD) simulation methods for component-level analysisDemonstrated experience working in cross-functional teams to deliver resultsDesired:M.S. or PhD degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering5+ years of relevant aerospace experienceSolid understanding of pumped fluid loop hardware such as pumps, cold plates, radiators, valves, heat exchangers, etc and semi-passive devices like sensors and heatersFamiliarity with relevant standards such as AS9100D, ASME, SAE, AWS and ANSI Y14.5 specificationsExperience solving a variety of thermal problems demonstrating breadth in applicationVendor technical management experienceDesign for manufacturability and assembly experience is a plusExperience developing component specificationsDemonstrated experience in CREO modeling and drawing creationFamiliarity with precision drilling techniquesExperience with complex CREO modeling techniques and hole patterningFamiliarity with Thermal Desktop and Sinda/Fluint, including model validation and test correlationExperience with CFD optimization of cold plates and heat exchangersFinite Element Analysis (FEA) tools experienceSpecial MentionsRelocation providedTravel expected up to 20% of the timeBase Pay Range for:CA applicants is $107,136.00 - $149,990.40CO applicants is $98,208.00 - $137,491.20WA applicants is $107,136.00 - $149,990.40Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon’t meet all desired requirements?
