Store Manager in Training

The Store Manager in Training (SMIT) position is a development-focused role designed to prepare candidates for a future CVS Store Manager position. The 16‑week program provides self‑paced, collaborative training and hands‑on learning experiences under the guidance of a District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager and Store Manager coach. Key Responsibilities Actively engage with leaders in key learning experiences to support your path to promotion during the structured program. Support your store as a member of the management team and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies. Engage colleagues in support of the company’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health. Be willing to accept promotion roles with the market in which you work. Essential Qualifications Willingness to accept a promotion to Store Manager at any location in the designated market. Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market. Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs. High school diploma or GED required. Four‑year college degree preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree. Retail management experience, or experience as a CVS Supervisor. Required Skills Communicate well verbally and in writing to support and lead your team. Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service. Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth. Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability. Work Hours & Compensation Anticipated Weekly Hours : 40 hours Time Type : Full time Pay Range : $18.50 - $28.67 per hour (base hourly rate or base annual salary for all positions in the job grade).
