Production Supervisor

Position Summary We are seeking a motivated Production Supervisor to lead shift operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing production activities, ensuring employee safety, maintaining product quality, and supervising production personnel to meet operational goals. Key Responsibilities Direct and coordinate production, warehousing, distribution, and shipping activities during assigned shifts. Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and applicable OSHA and environmental regulations. Monitor production performance and implement improvements to enhance productivity and quality. Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the facility. Train, schedule, assign, and supervise hourly production employees. Conduct performance evaluations, address employee concerns, and support positive employee relations. Investigate and resolve operational and personnel issues in a timely manner. Complete production reports and administrative tasks accurately and on time. Qualifications Associate degree and at least 2 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, lumber, wood treating, or a related industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to interpret production data, safety procedures, and operating instructions. Basic computer skills and ability to learn production reporting systems. CDL and forklift certification are a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and machinery. Work Environment Manufacturing environment with exposure to outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical equipment, humidity, airborne particles, and moderate noise levels.
