Bookkeeper - Construction

Job Title: Bookkeeper / Office Manager Company: Scharpf Construction, Utah Custom Homebuilder Location: Kamas, Utah Employment Type: Part Time - Approx. three to four days in office per week. After training, flexible schedule options available. Compensation: $25 - $35 per hour, depending on experience. Potential year-end bonus options Benefits: Paid time off, holiday pay, 401k option Job Summary: We are an established residential home builder in Park City, Utah seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage all day-to-day accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate has construction or contracting industry experience (or similar industry experience and eager to learn). QuickBooks Desktop experience a must. Responsibilities Prepare monthly construction draws and construction loan administration when needed Job costing and project budgeting and bidding Process accounts payable and receivable Process lien waivers, subcontractor pay applications, and collect conditional/unconditional waivers Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly Payroll processing for field and office staff using QuickBooks or similar Ensure compliance with Utah Contractor License requirements and workers' comp audits Qualifications 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (construction or contracting experience strongly preferred) Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop Strong understanding of job costing, percentage-of-completion, and construction-specific accounting Intermediate to advanced Excel skills High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Reliable, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information Additional Information To apply please email your resume in PDF form.
