About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry Profession: RN Specialty: RN - Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Preferred experience in an acute care facility License: Required RN licensure in the state of practice Certifications: Required CPR or BLS certification, ACLS certification, PALS certification, NIH Stroke Scale Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employs independent judgment to effectively care for patients. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situations. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan and coordinates care delivery. Employs strategies to promote health and maintain a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients and their situations. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing care. Provides learning opportunities for patients, families, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients and families. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
