Caregiver PositionCornerstone Management oversees multiple Assisted Living communities dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for seniors. Our mission is to foster safe, engaging, and person-centered environments where residents can thrive while preserving their independence and dignity.Position Location: Copper Creek Senior Living - West Union, IADescription of the role: Overnight - Part TimeThe Caregiver is a part of the Cornerstone team, a resident-focused, high performance, high commitment work team that supports the motto of, “creating healthy living and work environments.”Responsibilities:Obtaining vital signs and notifying the supervising nurse of deviationsAssisting residents with bathing, dressing, grooming needs, toileting, and walkingRecording temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration ratesBeing part of delivering specific core programs such as falls prevention, exercise, etc.Medication remindersHousekeeping duties and safety complianceFollows the resident’s ISP as directed.Follows the daily task sheets developed for each resident.Communicates with the appropriate supervisor about changes in the resident’s status and/or the home situationUtilizes standard precautions and infection control procedures.Follows written instructions and requests assistance and further instructions with new or unfamiliar situations.Prepares resident progress notes and submits this documentation in a timely manner.Assists the resident in maintaining a safe and clean environment.Exhibits a caring and respectful attitude toward the resident and the resident’s property.Works with the Resident Services Director and the rest of the operations team to build relationships and strong communication with residents and familiesAssists with activities and encourage resident engagement and participationUpholds confidentiality of residents and coworkers, HIPAAAttends bi-weekly in-service meetings and mandatory trainingsAdheres to all community and company policiesUnderstands proper use of facility equipment.Reports observations concerning structural and equipment wear, defects, and malfunctions to the supervisor.Performs any other duties as assigned.Requirements:Strong verbal and written communication skillsDrug Free.Clear Background.No Communicable diseases.Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally.25 to 50 pounds of force frequently.10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift/move objects.Constant standing and walking.Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, turning, and stretching.Finger and hand dexterity.Visual and hearing acuity.What We Offer:Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.Supportive work environment with a focus on resident-centered care.Cornerstone Management is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
