Commercial Lines Account Executive

Brown & Brown is seeking a Property & Casualty Sales Account Executive to join our growing team in Maitland, FL or Daytona Beach, FL. Responsibilities Develop and acquire new business revenue from new and existing clients. Manage client and prospect relationships to grow the book of existing accounts, recommending the most appropriate insurance solutions. Prepare renewal instructions and new business strategies in collaboration with the producer, including proposals and presentations. Analyze prospects’ needs and current insurance programs to identify opportunities to strengthen their risk management structure. Strategically plan and communicate with clients quarterly or more often to improve relationships and retention, including reviewing strategy changes 120 days prior to renewal. Complete necessary research on client inquiries using internal and external vendor systems, and prepare appropriate real‑time responses. Prepare marketing strategy information and market the account to insurance carriers. Document all meetings, present carrier proposals to prospects, and negotiate premiums with carriers. Collect all premiums due on each account (if applicable). Licenses & Certifications 2‑20 Property & Casualty License within 90 days. Qualifications & Experience 4‑year college degree or equivalent relevant experience. Results‑oriented team player who excels in a collaborative environment. Strong multitasking ability with the capacity to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Routine or periodic travel required; ability to drive own vehicle or use a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, with maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages.
