Description

Position OverviewWe are seeking a Procurement Specialist to support a growing manufacturing operation focused on engineered products, fabricated components, electronics, and custom hardware assemblies. This individual will serve as a critical link between suppliers, engineering, production, inventory, and program teams to ensure materials are sourced, purchased, and delivered in alignment with operational and customer commitments.The ideal candidate is a proactive supply chain professional who can manage the entire procurement lifecycle, develop strong supplier relationships, and support both commercial off-the-shelf and custom-manufactured products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSource and procure materials, components, assemblies, and services required to support production and program schedules.Manage supplier relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for cost, lead time, delivery, and performance discussions.Evaluate supplier capabilities to identify the best manufacturing partners for custom and engineered components.Request, review, and analyze supplier quotations while negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.Issue and manage purchase orders from placement through receipt and closeout.Work closely with production planners to ensure purchased materials align with manufacturing requirements and timelines.Monitor supplier commitments and proactively resolve shortages, delays, quality concerns, and delivery issues.Support procurement of fabricated metal components, machined parts, electronics, networking equipment, and custom assemblies.Review engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and part requirements to ensure accurate sourcing and purchasing decisions.Coordinate return material authorizations (RMAs), corrective actions, and supplier issue resolution.Maintain purchasing, supplier, and material records within ERP systems.Identify opportunities to improve supplier performance, reduce lead times, lower costs, and mitigate supply chain risks.Support supplier qualification and vendor management initiatives.Track and report procurement KPIs including supplier performance, delivery metrics, and cost savings opportunities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $48.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
