Job Purpose This is a seasonal, part‑time role starting March 1 st through the end of Labor Day weekend for Croc’s Pool Bar and Eagles Edge Restaurant. Food and Beverage bartenders serve alcoholic beverages and food to restaurant patrons. Essential Job Functions Maintain complete knowledge of all food and drink menu items and all liquor brands, beers, and beverage selections offered. Familiarity with state alcohol service guidelines. Comply with all company and departmental policies, service procedures, and standards. Serve food and beverage to guests following Moments of Service (MOS) and adhere to service times. Acknowledge and greet all guests, anticipate needs, and respond to inquiries or requests. Communicate with guests and food and beverage staff clearly and professionally at all times. Relate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to manager and kitchen. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of back‑bar and bar top. Attend monthly staff meetings for information and direction. Contribute to a professional workplace that maximizes employee morale, productivity, and effectiveness; work well with diverse FOH and BOH staff. Ensure responsible service of alcohol by following all legal requirements, including carding and consumption. Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests, record all transactions in the Micros system, maintain guest tabs, and facilitate payment following procedures. Maintain continuous oversight of liquor par levels and daily beer, wine, liquor, and supply orders from the storeroom. Maintain a house bank and perform monthly bank counts at random. Perform additional responsibilities as requested by a manager. Qualifications Commitment to quality service and food and beverage knowledge. At least one year of bartending experience in a face‑outside environment. Valid TIPS certification or willingness to obtain one. Minimum age 18 years; legal age to serve alcohol. Moderate knowledge of cocktails and liquor varieties. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Calm and effective under pressure. Problem‑solving abilities, priority setting, and organization. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Clean, professional uniform and personal appearance. Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in job duties. Excellent people skills and outgoing personality. Cooperative teamwork skills. Maintain confidentiality of guest information and hotel data. Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area. Flexibility to work AM and PM shifts, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Spend 95 % of time standing and 5 % sitting. Work in difficult weather conditions, including heat, rain, and humidity. Lift, move, push, pull, and carry up to 40 pounds without assistance. Stand continuously for up to, and sometimes exceeding, 8 hours at a time. Working Environment Daily exposure to cold, heat, humidity, and other outdoor conditions. Fast‑paced environment. Team‑oriented environment. Stamina and energy to remain active and move quickly for up to 10‑hour shifts. Ability to hear, understand, and respond to guest and staff requests in a loud environment. Tools & Equipment Carry trays. Knowledge of and operation of the MICROS System. Basic arithmetic, especially in cash handling situations.
