Job Description:

The RN in the CVICU Float Pool will be responsible for providing critical care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. This role requires experience in titration of vesicant meds, familiarity with pressors, sedation, paralytics, and experience with vents, trachs, and telemetry interpretation. The ability to understand hemodynamics, PA catheter setup and interpretation, and perform procedures such as cardioversion and chest tube insertions is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Titration of Vesicant Meds
• Familiarity with Pressors
• Sedation and Paralytics
• Experience with Vents and Trachs
• Telemetry Interpretation
• Understanding of Hemodynamics and PA Catheter setup
• Transvenous Pacing and Cardioversion
• TEE and Chest Tube Insertions
• Maintenance of Critical Care Equipment

Requirements:

• ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications
• CCRN recommended
• ICU experience required
• Titration skills and familiarity with critical care medications
• Advanced skills with IABP, Impella, and CRRT appreciated
