Job Description
The Packaging Operator is responsible for the final packaging of flavors, including powders, spray dry, liquids, emulsions, and extracts, according to directions on each batch ticket. This role involves working closely with Batch Processors to ensure that packaging is completed with an emphasis on food safety, quality, efficiency, and accuracy. The operator may also operate machinery such as mixers, spray dryers, and blending tanks, and must be able to read labels and follow safety procedures. Ensuring the correct finished product quantity with appropriate labels is a key responsibility.
Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor machinery such as mixers, spray dryers, and blending tanks to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Package the correct quantity of finished products with the correct labels.
• Observe production processes and monitor equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Record operational and production data on specified forms.
• Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas using equipment and sit-down forklifts.
• Understand the importance of food safety and communicate any concerns to shift leads or management.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including equipment sanitation after each batch.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wauconda, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
