Job Responsibilities Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Maintain day‑to‑day operations, monitor and resolve issues for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and other infrastructure. Deliver Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution. Communicate status to agency management and internal customers. Support dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in resolution. Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems, install and load software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components. Optimize system operations, resource utilization, and perform capacity analysis and planning. Provide in-depth troubleshooting, detailed analysis, and feedback on escalated tickets. Support design of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware. Analyze and resolve complex problems involving server hardware, applications, and software integration. Qualifications U.S. Citizenship and appropriate security clearance required (e.g., TS/SCI with agency‑appropriate polygraph). Fifteen (15) years' experience as a system administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or five (5) years of additional SA experience in lieu of a degree. Certification or adherence to DoD 8570‑M, IAT Level 2. Experience with enterprise‑level Linux distributions (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu). Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and command‑line interface. Experience with system automation tools, especially Ansible. Knowledge of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMWare, KVM, Docker, OpenShift). Knowledge of database management systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL). Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Nagios, Zabbix, ELK Stack). Understanding of security best practices and protocols. Familiarity with version control systems (GitLab).
