Equipment Operator Position

Overview We are looking for a skilled, dependable equipment operator to join our multi-talented team! Active is a full-service environmental contractor that performs a multitude of sites and environmental services. The successful candidate should be proficient in operating various types of heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, dozers, dump trucks and compactors. Equipment operator responsibilities include performing daily pre-operation equipment checks and routine maintenance, loading and unloading equipment, and operating to achieve project goals whether it be a large-scale excavation, site restoration or utility installation. The equipment operator is responsible for ensuring sites are kept clean delivering a quality finished product with high attention to safety protocols. Equipment operator should have excellent communication skills and be able to understand directions from superiors. Equipment Operator Responsibilities Ensuring all equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety regulations Cleaning, lubricating, and perform regular safety checks on equipment Leading by example in the safe operation of equipment Performing various tasks on site Promptly reporting any issues or safety concerns to the Supervisor or Foreman Ensuring sites are kept clean and safe Attending meetings and refresher courses Identifying faults and troubleshooting equipment as required Equipment Operator Qualifications 3-5 years’ experience operating heavy equipment High school diploma Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills Ability to follow orders, especially under pressure Ability to work to strict deadlines A sound understanding of health and safety codes A positive outlook and a willingness to learn Able to pass drug screen & physical Details Work Location: Various - Mainly Tri State Area Travel Required: Occasionally Salary: Highly competitive Job Type: Full-time Pay: $26.97 - $28.58 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week Benefits Health insurance w/ HRA Retirement plan Paid time off 401(k) 401(k) matching Health savings account Life insurance Vision insurance Schedule 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Education High school or equivalent (Required) Experience Heavy equipment operation: 3 years (Required) People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply #J-18808-Ljbffr Active Environmental Technologies INC
