It was founded in 1973 in Los Angeles to serve the Chinese American community in Southern California.Responsibilities:Be part of a collaborative BI team, data engineers, DBA groups, and business partners to create technical requirements, database design, and BI solutions that will empower business partners to embrace data confidently and responsibly to address their complex challengesDesigning and implementing tools for analyzing complex large-scale datasets used for modeling, data mining, research, and predictive analytics.Rapidly iterate, prototype, and implement visualizations that meet business visualization needs, considering composition, color, texture, and optimizing the depth and information density for the business users.Power BI and SSRS administration for on-premises and Reporting ServicesBuild enterprise scalable, complex data visualizations, dashboards, KPI scorecards, KRI reports, etc. in Power BI DesktopProvide user experience inputs to business teams on report/dashboard design.Leverage knowledge of data modeling methodologies and other data warehousing activities to translate data into actionable analytical solutions and promote information-based decision-making recommendations.Determine and implement the security model based on business requirements, confirm safeguards are followed, address any data quality issues, and data governance processes are followed for the data model.Using past experiences, make recommendations on Enterprise BI standards/best practicesRecognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, validation, and documentation.Performance tuning and query optimizationProvide guidance to other BI developers with oversight from the BI Managers and LeadsImplement statistical or other mathematical methodologies as needed for specific models or analysisKeep up to date with the latest technology trendsRequired Qualifications:At least 7 years practical experience with business intelligence solution including building/supporting data-intensive systems, data warehouses and data marts with clear understanding of industry-standard concepts (star schema, snowflake, ER)3+ years hands-on experience in Data Visualization or advanced analytics using Power BIProficient in DAX and M queriesExpertise in SQL, ELT/ETL, reporting and Visual Analytics tools including SSMS, SSRS, SSIS and Power BI, with proven implementation and adoption in a large-scale enterprise environmentsSolid T-SQL knowledge and SQL query development using MS SQL 2016 or laterExpertise skills in data visualization, user interface design and the software development life cycle to develop data products and expertise in demonstrating the work to business groups.Proficiency in data analysis, data profiling, data mining, data extraction, and data enrichmentCreative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challengeExcellent attention to detailComfortable in both a leadership and team-player roleAble to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectivelyExcellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skillsDesired:MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analytics or equivalent combination of skills, experience and educationSoftware language - C#, Power Shell, Python,.NETExperience in Cloud Data Warehouse technologies such as AZURE Data Warehouse, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, Snowflake.Experience in banking or financial servicesGeneral understanding and wide application of advanced principles, theories, concepts, tools, and techniques in user interface design for data science and data visualization applications.Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery (Maven, Jenkins, Stash, Ansible, Docker) is a plusUnderstanding of Machine LearningUnderstanding of cloud platform maintenance and experience in migrating legacy systems to new-age technologies.Understanding of Adobe Analytics and Omniture, Google Analytics, and other Social/App Tracking ToolsUnderstanding of analytical methods and regression models, advanced analytics software (SAS, R, Python, and others), big data programmingHave solid/emerging experience with statistical modeling, analytics, database usage, and design theories
