Job Description:

Cardiac Medical Unit, a cardiac step-down from CSSU and IVCU, med/surg tele, stroke overflow. Cannot take patients post-Cath lab unless radial artery used. Manages patients with chest pain, CHF, COPD, requiring cardiac management and procedures such as Thoracentesis, PD, Trachs, Pacemakers, and Cardiac Cath.

Responsibilities:

• Administer care to patients within a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio.
• Participate in bedside shift rounds and handoffs.
• Use equipment such as IV pumps, sara steadys, Hiflo, bipap, and Kangaroo pumps.

Requirements:

• Proficient in Telemetry.
• Certifications Required: ASLS, BLS.
