Position: Diesel Mechanic
Location: Miami, FL
6-12 month contract to hire
Pay Rate: $32-$36 Hourly Based on Experience

Overview:
Insight Global is seeking a Diesel Truck Mechanic for a client in the Miami area. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of trucks to ensure maximum uptime and safety. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working on commercial trucks and be comfortable performing both preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel trucks and mobile equipment
- Repair and maintain air brake systems, vehicle air conditioning systems, and hydraulics
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems (12V and 24V DC)
- Report equipment breakdowns and generate detailed work orders
- Prepare and document maintenance and repair activities
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and ensure safe operating conditions
- Follow all company safety standards, policies, and environmental regulations
Schedule & Requirements:
- Schedule released daily at 2:30 PM
- Must be able to work 10+ hour shifts as needed
- Must be flexible to work early shifts, nights, and weekends
- Candidates must provide their own tools
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2–5+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic working on commercial trucks, manufacturing equipment, or both
- Strong knowledge of truck electrical systems, hydraulics, driveline, suspension, and air brake systems
- Experience with mobile AC systems
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- ASE Certifications
- Spanish-speaking abilities
