Job Summary Position: Insurance Unit Manager/Supervisor – San Diego, CA Salary: $77,900 – $133,250 annually (commensurate to experience) What You’ll Do Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of associates to deliver exceptional service that delights customers and builds trust. Guide team members in resolving complex customer inquiries and claims. Personalize leadership approach to develop team members’ skills and ensure they exceed customer expectations. Monitor and evaluate team performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance efficiency, customer satisfaction, and retention. Hold the team accountable for achieving results, maintaining compliance with insurance regulations, and delivering outstanding service. Address escalated customer concerns with professionalism and empathy, modeling GEICO’s dedication to service excellence. Collaborate with leadership and cross‑functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance customer experience. Serve as a resource for team members on insurance‑related questions, providing mentorship and training to build industry knowledge. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with 2+ years of supervisory experience, or at least 4 years of supervisory experience in lieu of a degree (high school diploma or equivalent required). Experience successfully managing teams in insurance, financial services, call center, retail, or other customer‑centric industries. Proven ability to motivate, inspire, and develop high‑performing teams. Strong results orientation, with a history of meeting or exceeding performance goals. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt leadership styles to diverse individuals and situations. Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform decision‑making and improve customer outcomes. Collaborative mindset with a commitment to fostering a culture of inclusivity and excellence.
