Certified Occupational Therapist AssistantAn Occupational Therapist plays a vital role in Waverly Group's collaborative, multidisciplinary pediatric team by providing high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy services to children with a variety of developmental, behavioral, and learning needs. This position combines direct therapeutic intervention with comprehensive assessment, individualized treatment planning, and close collaboration with families, schools, and fellow clinicians to support each child's functional independence and overall development.An Occupational Therapist provides individualized therapy, conducts evaluations, develops home exercise programs, and maintains timely, accurate clinical documentation. As part of our integrated care model, this clinician works closely with psychologists, behavior analysts, physical therapists, educators, and other specialists, including supporting children with autism receiving services within our ABA clinic. Candidates who value teamwork, compassionate family-centered care, and interdisciplinary collaboration will thrive in Waverly Group's supportive, team-oriented environment.Occupational Therapist ResponsibilitiesWork with OTR to develop a comprehensive treatment plan including long and short term goals, frequency, duration, and treatment modalitiesProvide direct occupational therapy services to children, adolescents, and/or adultsProvide home exercise programsAdministrative duties, including documentation, treatment planning, progress notes, and communication with families, multidisciplinary team members, schools, and outside providers as neededAttend multi-disciplinary meetings and collaborate with team members, families, and schoolsSet up the gym for evaluations/sessions and maintain a clean gym environment after each therapy session/dayProvide 1:1 intervention in occupational therapyWork with children with autism in our ABA clinic as a supportive team memberSensory integration training or certification is not required but highly valuedPerform other clinical and administrative duties as requiredCompensation & BenefitsCompensation: $70,000-$75,000 annually; paid bi-weeklyRetirement Eligibility: 401(k) retirement plan with employer matchTime Off: Generous PTO policies based on experience and 8 Paid HolidaysHealth & Welfare Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and eligible dependentsHSA (with employer contribution) and FSA options to help manage healthcare and dependent care expensesEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) with confidential mental health and life support resourcesProfessional development/supervision on an ongoing basisSupportive private practice with a strong team cultureOpportunity to work across both assessments and therapyClinic-based (no travel)Manageable caseload with your inputOccupational Therapist Required QualificationsAssociate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant studies from an accredited programActive Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure in ConnecticutExperience providing occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist for children and adolescentsExcellent communication, documentation, and time management abilitiesExperience with pediatric populationsStrong desire to work as a collaborative and supportive member of multidisciplinary teamExcellent communication skillsInterest in small group facilitation and development of programmingThe Waverly Group is a collaborative, multidisciplinary pediatric therapy center located in Old Greenwich, CT.
