Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Medical Assistant to support our podiatry team. Our team values efficiency, professionalism, and compassionate patient interactions and must be comfortable working in a fast paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Room patients and obtain medical history
- Assist physician with in-office procedures (e.g. nail care, wound care, injections).
- Prepare and sterilize instruments
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as dressing changes and suture removal
- Maintain clean and organized exam rooms
- Document accurately in the EMR
- Perform and assist with digital x-rays
- Dispense durable medical equipment and provide patient education
Qualifications:
- Medical assistant certification preferred (not required with experience).
- Prior clinical experience required (podiatry, wound care, ortho, or surgical specialty preferred)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- EMR familiarity
- Experience with X-ray imaging preferred
- Ability to multi task in a fast paced setting
