Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Summary:
Provides specialized perioperative nursing care to pediatric patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery procedures in a high-acuity surgical environment. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Administer specialized nursing care to pediatric patients during cardiovascular surgeries in the CVOR setting.
• Monitor patient vital signs and responses to procedures, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Operate and troubleshoot all types of surgical equipment, including Belmont rapid infusion systems.
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR and communicate effectively with the surgical team.
• Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and post-operative recovery procedures.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least 2 years of OR experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in multiple service lines, including cardiac and open-heart surgery.
• Possess pediatric care experience, with CVOR and cardiac experience preferred.
• Exhibit strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to adapt to new equipment and technologies efficiently.
