About the Position

Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room Charge Nurse – Georgia

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants. Charge role includes $5/hour differential.

Schedule: Weekend schedule (Friday-Sunday). Call required approximately one weekday per week and one weekend every 5-6 weeks. Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed. Patient ratio 1:1.

Highlights:

• Charge RN role with additional hourly compensation for leadership responsibilities
• Comprehensive cardiovascular surgical caseload including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, LVAD/RVAD, and thoracic procedures
• Epic charting system in use
• Assignment includes holiday coverage expectations with minimal time-off requests preferred
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory and interpretation services
• First-time travelers accepted; serves adult and geriatric patient populations

Requirements:

• Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Previous charge experience strongly preferred
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Experience with cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, vascular surgeries, and thoracic cases
• Full compliance documentation required prior to start date; must complete core items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing
