Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to modernize a critical government information system. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in enterprise Java application development and a proven track record of upgrading complex software infrastructures in secure, regulated environments.
You will be responsible for planning and executing upgrades across our technology stack, including:
- Apache Solr with Zookeeper
- Apache Tomcat
- Apache Directory Studio
- Java/Python components running on Windows-based VMware infrastructure
Strong knowledge of Oracle 19c database integration, SAP Business Intelligence reporting frameworks, secure coding practices, and upgrading and migrating Solr index data is essential. Experience with PrimeFaces UI framework is a plus. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders—to ensure seamless upgrades with minimal operational disruption.
Qualifications
- Expertise in enterprise Java application development on Windows-based VMware infrastructure
- Expertise with Python
- Expertise in Apache Solr with Zookeeper (including upgrading and migrating Solr index data)
- Experience with Apache Tomcat, Apache Directory Studio
- Experience with Oracle 19c/Relational database integration
- Experience with SAP Business Intelligence reporting frameworks
- Experience with secure coding practices for government compliance
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a TS/SCI government clearance which requires US Citizenship
Requirements
- 13+ Years of experience in Systems or IT related roles or a highly related field of work with similar scope and responsibilities.
- A bachelor's degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience and a master's degree may be substituted for 6 years of experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with PrimeFaces UI framework
- TS/SCI with an in-scope polygraph
