Attending Psychologist Behavioral Sleep Medicine

Position overview UCSF Health is recruiting for a sleep psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. The anticipated start date is September 1, 2026. Responsibilities Providing behavioral sleep medicine services to patients within the UCSF Neuro/Psych Sleep Clinic, including cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT‑I), behavioral nightmare therapy treatments, management of circadian rhythm dysfunction, PAP non‑adherence, and behavioral management of hypersomnia. Participating in teaching, supervision and assessment of trainees. Collaborating with other department members on research projects and scholarly activities. Engaging in innovation and improvements in clinical, research, and educational programs. Participating in departmental, university, and public service. Qualifications PhD in psychology or equivalent, postdoctoral training in psychology or equivalent, and licensed to practice psychology in California at the time of appointment. Demonstrated specialization in sleep and/or health psychology. Demonstrated clinical, educational, and administrative skills with a strong commitment to an academic career as a clinician‑educator. Competence in working with a range of communities and populations. Applicant materials must list pending qualifications upon application submission; all requirements must be met by the time of hire. Compensation The minimum base salary range for this position is $106,000 - $319,800. This position includes eligibility for additional compensation within the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.
