Senior Architect

New Fire Native Design Group (NFN) is an Architecture and Interior Design firm serving Native American communities. Our projects include tribal government, cultural, healthcare, hospitality and other community facilities. We’re seeking experienced Architects with strong design and technical skills to lead complex projects from concept through construction. If you have 10 + years of experience and enjoy guiding teams, working directly with clients, and mentoring others, we’d love to connect with you. Responsibilities Lead architectural design and technical delivery for complex projects. Develop solutions that balance client goals, building performance, constructability, and budget. Oversee coordinated drawings, specifications, and reports that meet quality, code, and accessibility requirements. Lead multidisciplinary teams, delegate work, and resolve technical and coordination challenges. Manage deliverables, schedules, and scope changes to support timely delivery and project profitability. Lead client meetings and presentations, guide decisions, and maintain strong relationships. Lead construction administration and coordinate resolution of field issues. Mentor staff, share technical expertise, and support proposals and project interviews. Soft Skills Clear, professional communication with clients and project teams. Sound judgment, practical problem solving, and accountability. Strong organization, delegation, and adaptability to competing priorities. Collaborative leadership focused on mentorship and knowledge sharing. Respect for client priorities and the communities we serve. Qualifications Degree in Architecture or a related design field required. Active architectural license required for Architect positions; experienced unlicensed Design Professionals may also be considered. 10+ years of progressive architectural experience, including complex project leadership; 15+ years preferred. Demonstrated ability to guide projects from concept through construction with a high level of independence. Advanced Revit proficiency and experience with AutoCAD and related design and visualization tools. Strong knowledge of codes, accessibility, building systems, materials, and constructability. Proven success coordinating multidisciplinary teams and delivering quality work within budget and schedule. Portfolio demonstrating design leadership, technical depth, and successful project delivery. Experience with Native American clients or tribal projects valued but not required.
