We strive to bring together caring, warm and intelligent people who love to serve and help and are among the best in their field.About the Role:The veterinary assistant that we are looking for will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe space for neurology consultations and treatments in addition to:Support technicians and doctors as neededSupport other departments in the hospital as needed, leadership guidedSafe, low stress patient restraint for catheter placement and medication administrationAssist in smooth transition between each consultation/procedureAssisting with laboratory tests, MRI's, CT's, and radiographsFill prescriptions, calculate and administer medications, maintain proper documentation, logging, and security of controlled drugs.Assist with the set up and break down of the operating roomAssist in sterile procedures by opening/unwrapping sterile packs & instruments and giving them to the surgeon or surgical assistant in a sterile fashionPerforming daily, weekly, and monthly department tasks and maintenance of equipmentWe are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail and someone who is a team player and likes to work within a diverse group of technicians and doctors.About You:Minimum of 3 years' clinical experience in a progressive veterinary hospitalStrong communication skills, verbal and written; organizational skills; proactive thinking and a positive attitude are also a mustAbility to work in a highly collaborative environment and a commitment to developing long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is requiredMaintain a positive outlook and ability to work well in stressful situationsPay Range:VA: $24- $35 per hourCompensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.Schedule:4/10 hour days.
