???? Job Purpose:
The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for direct client care and reports back to the Operations Manager and Program Director any relevant information. ????????

A. Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Follows the company's policies, procedures and protocols
2. Completes client intakes in EMR upon admission.
3. Types and performs data entry as needed for communication purposes
4. Organizes and uploads documents to client charts (if applicable)
5. Conforms to all necessary quality assurance standards
6. Drug tests clients effectively according to waived testing procedures
7. Greets scheduled visitors and coordinates them to appropriate area or person
8. Follows up with facility rules and expectations, and helps clients comply with contracts
9. Organizes cleaning supplies and materials
10. Makes copies of printed materials
11. "Observe and report" for overall client care
12. Performs all necessary documentation regarding clients (i.e. BAC and UA results)
13. Communicates effectively with Operations Manager and Program Director about completion of job duties and responsibilities

• Communications skills: Is effective in written and oral expression. Demonstrates proper telephone etiquette and is able to communicate easily with clients, staff and visitors in an appropriate manner. Relates to clients and co-workers in a respectful and professional manner.

• Flexibility: Responds well to changing situations or routines
• Handling emergencies: Handles crises calmly and professionally.

C. Competencies

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:

D. Minimum Qualifications

Education, Experience and Licensure

• Has a high school diploma or equivalent
• Preferably has one year of experience in the field of substance abuse or mental health treatment
• Has CPR and First Aid certifications

Knowledge

• An understanding of counseling and other treatment procedures and protocols for behavioral health and/or substance use disorder-related problems
• A working knowledge of behavioral health and/or substance use disorder
• A knowledge of regulations concerning behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment

E. Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
