Job Title Clinical Psychologist Salary $62.93 - $62.93 / hr on W2 +Benefits+ $10,000 sign on bonus Location Wailuku, HI, US Employment Type Permanent Role | Onsite role Req ID 1085267 Non‑Negotiable Requirements Must have HI LCSW licensure or be eligible to receive HI LCSW licensure (application in process with HI Licensing Board) Essential Responsibilities Interviews members and evaluates their psychological and mental status using the latest DSM to diagnose patients; determine crisis, at‑risk, or suicidal/homicidal status; refer members in need of immediate or urgent care to appropriate services. Provides psychotherapy and counseling for individuals, families, groups, and/or Intensive Outpatient Programs, utilizing evidence‑based interventions and modalities such as crisis intervention, brief therapy, cognitive and behavioral therapies, skills training, supportive therapy, stress management, and family therapy. Assesses urgent or high‑risk clinical situations, makes appropriate interventions, coordinates referral to psychiatrists or other clinicians, and assists with admission to hospital or other specialized facilities. Plans and provides services at the appropriate level of care, evaluates treatment needs, and makes referrals as necessary. Develops, implements, and leads therapeutic and educational groups, evaluating outcomes and effects of treatment for patients and programs. Researches, collects, and records diagnostic data; formulates evidence‑based treatment interventions; assists in establishing clinical best practices and guidelines for delivery of service. Assists patients in participating in their treatment plans, engages them in therapeutic relationships, educates them about mental health services, and recommends referrals to community resources. Collaborates and consults with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support assessments and decision‑making; reviews difficult cases or quality assurance concerns; serves as consultant to team members and others in the organization. Acts as liaison between behavioral health services and primary care, emergency departments, and other outpatient clinics. Maintains a high level of clinical expertise, stays knowledgeable of current conditions, methods, medications, theoretical frameworks and interventions; utilizes best practices aligned with professional guidelines. Maintains clinical records by documenting assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and all pertinent information in patient medical records according to regional and departmental guidelines. Provides and arranges for psychological testing for Integrated Behavioral Health Services when appropriate; develops and conducts specialized treatment programs and services. Participates in clinical team meetings, departmental planning and quality management activities. Supervises and mentors residents and interns as assigned. Assesses patients in Emergency Departments on after‑hours and as needed where the organization has privileges to provide mental health assessments and crisis intervention.
