Responsibilities:

• The Virginia Department of Elections (ELECT) is seeking an UI/UX Business Analyst with minimum 5 years' experience to work with an existing software development team in an agile/scrum environment.
• The candidate will review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to solutions under development.
• Duties will include functional and non-functional specifications, uses cases and system design specifications, conducting effective joint applications development and brainstorming sessions, and interviewing subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven working experience as a business systems analyst for medium to large projects.
• Able to communicate and collaborate with agile delivery teams and other technical staff, business partners and vendors.
• Able to accurately define and capture project requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Able to document business processes and data flow diagrams.
• Able to write UAT test scripts from use cases and proficient in UAT testing.
• Able to identify and document project risks and actions to mitigate risks.
• Able to track requirements throughout lifecycle of SDLC cycle.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite, VISIO, Draw.io, ADO, JIRA and Confluence.
• Analytical and able to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions and approaches to problems.
• Ability to meet deadlines with minimal direct supervision.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
