The Logistics Analyst provides analytical, operational, and decision support for the company’s freight strategy, with primary responsibility for delivering fast, accurate freight cost estimates, particularly for complex and international sales opportunities. This role transforms freight data, rate structures, and shipment performance into actionable insights that support sales velocity, margin accuracy, and operational planning. Partnering closely with the Freight Manager, the Logistics Analyst enables scalable quoting, strengthens freight decision-making, and ensures continuity of freight knowledge and support. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Sales Enablement & Freight Quoting: Serve as the primary responder for complex, international, and non-standard freight quote requests Translate sales requirements into accurate, defensible freight cost scenarios using established rate logic and assumptions Deliver freight quotes within defined SLAs to support deal velocity Document quoting logic, assumptions, risks, and scenarios for repeatability and learning Escalate expectations and trade-off decisions to the Freight Manager as needed Demonstrate Merchology Core Values daily Analytics, Insights, & Cost Support Maintain and analyze freight data related to spend, service performance, additional freight charges, and claims Develop and maintain freight KPIs, dashboards, and reporting used by Operations and leadership Support carrier negotiations and strategy through modeling, historical analysis, and scenario development Identify drivers of freight cost variance, including unplanned additional freight charges, packaging issues, and execution-related costs Operational & System Enablement Act as a primary power user of the ShipHawk TMS and carrier shipping tools to support quoting, execution analysis, and troubleshooting Support damage, loss, and freight claims analysis, documentation, and recovery tracking Assist with invoice review, audits, and discrepancy analysis Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Finance, Purchasing, and Technology Provide backup coverage for freight quoting and analysis during peak demand or Freight Manager absence Requirements Experience with ShipHawk or similar WMS/TMS platforms Experience with FedEx Ship Manager and parcel/LTL environments Familiarity with international freight and Incoterms Advanced Excel or BI/reporting tool experience Experience in a high-mix or custom fulfillment environment Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, Analytics, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience International shipping experience 2-4 years of experience in freight, logistics, transportation analysis, or related roles Demonstrated ability to produce fast, accurate freight cost estimates Experience working with a TMS or shipping system to analyze rates and service options Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive requests with accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills Willingness to serve as primary quoting support and backup coverage English speaking and able to communicate effectively with co-workers, management, and external contacts Computer Skills, Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency WHAT WE OFFER In addition to an outstanding creative culture, authentically nice people, and interesting work, we have: Generous PTO (18 days per year) 8 company-paid holidays Hybrid work schedule for select departments 40 hours of paid volunteer time 401(k) with match Medical and dental insurance options, FSA, and HSA Company-paid life insurance and short-term disability Company-sponsored social events Premium brand partner discounts Employee-led Committees in Social Events, Wellness, DE&I and Giveback LOCATION 3000 Niagara Lane North, Plymouth, MN 55447 Remote hybrid role: Three days onsite, two days remote following training INDUSTRY Business to Business eCommerce and Apparel Merchology is an equal opportunity employer and certified Disability-owned Business Enterprise.
