Charge Nurse

Charge Nurse – Temecula Valley Day Surgery Center, Murrieta, California (Full‑time) Job Summary We seek a dedicated Charge Nurse who will assume shift responsibility and accountability for the operating room (OR), pre‑operative (Pre‑Op), and post‑anesthesia care unit (PACU). The role involves planning and providing direct and indirect nursing care, coordinating the multidisciplinary team, and ensuring high‑quality, patient‑centered outcomes. Responsibilities Plan and provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients, families, care partners, and other stakeholders. Coordinate multi‑disciplinary team members, directing and facilitating nursing staff to achieve safe, optimal health care outcomes. Support activities that align with the facility’s vision, mission, and goals. Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Utilize patient‑centered care principles as the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrate service excellence at all times. Qualifications Education & Training Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program required; BSN preferred. Minimum three (3) years RN experience in an ambulatory surgery center required. One (1) to three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of AAAHC, QAPI, ARON, and ASPAN standards. Certifications & Licensure Current Registered Nurse license with the State of California. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required. Other Skills and Abilities Knowledge of and compliance with The Joint Commission, Title standards, and guidelines. Comprehensive understanding of healthcare policies and procedures at all times. Ability to set priorities, organize workload, and complete assignments promptly. Familiarity with basic medical laws and ethics, including consents and confidentiality. Knowledge of emergency procedures, medical terminology, and abbreviations. Effective interpersonal and communication skills in English. Proficiency in PC applications.
