Seasonal Sales Associate - Part Time - West Farms Mall, Farmington, CT Job Category : Retail/Outlet - Non-Management Requisition Number : SALES02445 Job Type : Part‑Time Location: CT RT Westfarms, Farmington, CT 06032, USA Description Title: Seasonal Part Time Crew Mate (Seasonal Part Time Sales Associate) Department: Retail Reports To: Captain (Store Manager)/First Mate (Assistant Manager)/Second Mate (Management Trainee) Overview: Responsible for assisting the management team (Captain, First Mates, and Second Mates) in driving sales through exceptional customer service. Ensures the customer experience, supports our brand promise, and makes service a top priority. Responsibilities Generate sales and meet goals/measures; develop and maintain relationships with top customers; support in‑store event sourcing and execution. Customer Experience: ensure the store reflects Shep & Ian’s vision of “Every Day Should Feel This Good”; lead the store in email capture; educate new associates; keep the customer wish list current. Crew Development: assist with training new associates; foster a welcoming, fun, encouraging, and energetic crew and customer environment; help recruit and refer top talent; support store and team‑building activities. Operations: maintain efficient merchandise controls; maintain loss prevention awareness; keep the store clean and tidy. Merchandising: maintain standards, current compass, and brand initiatives; contribute weekly product feedback. Qualifications Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills. Team focused, confident, and professional. Creative, adaptable, entrepreneurial and driven by integrity. Strong verbal and written skills. Ability to perform effective selling techniques to achieve sale and repeat business. Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, overnights, weekends. A passion for making people happy. Customer Service‑oriented experience preferred but not necessary. Passion for the Vineyard Vines brand. Physical Requirements Stand and/or move around for extended periods of time.
