Qualifications:

• Valid CDE SPED License with Generalist Endorsement (proof of application for correct endorsement required if not yet received)
• License should read: Professional Teacher License #000000; Endorsed In: Special Education Generalist (5-21)
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Special Education Teacher in schools
• Deep knowledge of the IEP process and ability to collaborate as part of an IEP team
• Extensive experience with Specially Designed Instruction, alternative standards, and a wide variety of instructional practices
• Not open to remote, hybrid, or substitute/temporary license holders

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality special education services to students at Heritage High School (.5 FTE, 20 hours/week)
• Craft individualized instruction and support for students on alternative standards
• Lead and contribute to the IEP process, collaborating closely with other educators and specialists
• Implement evidence-based instructional strategies to propel student growth
