Licensed Health and Life Insurance Agent DMV Area (DC, MD, VA) – Flexible Options (Remote, Hybrid, or Field-Based) | 1099 Independent Contractor | 100% Commission About the Opportunity Shata Insurance Group is growing, and we are seeking a highly motivated, client-focused Insurance Sales Representative to join our team. For this role, we are specifically looking for actively licensed professionals ready to hit the ground running in the DMV area. In this performance-driven 1099 opportunity, you will help businesses, individuals, and families protect what matters most by providing tailored insurance solutions. What You Will Do Prospect and generate new business through outbound outreach, networking, and referrals. Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify your clients’ financial protection goals. Present and recommend the most appropriate insurance products for their unique situations. Guide clients seamlessly through applications, underwriting, and policy issuance. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of client interactions and sales activity in our CRM systems. Build and maintain long‑term client relationships through regular policy reviews and consistent follow‑ups. Consistently meet or exceed performance metrics and sales targets. Our Ideal Candidate Profile (What We're Looking For) Licensing: An active insurance license is our top priority and preferred qualification for this role. Experience: Proven success in quota‑driven or commission‑based environments, ideally with experience in insurance, financial services, or consultative sales. (Note: While sales experience is a huge plus, we provide training to support your growth). Mindset: Self‑motivated with a competitive and goal‑oriented mindset. Communication: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills. Client‑Facing Skills: The ability to explain complex financial products in simple terms and build immediate trust.
