Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Night Shift Nursing Coordinator in Washington, DC. This full-time position from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM involves managing daily patient throughput, improving hospital throughput of emergency department admits, direct admits, and surgical admits, increasing inpatient bed utilization, and reducing patient or bed turnaround delays. The candidate must bring their nursing license on the first day of work.

Job Details:

• Location: Washington, DC
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, and RN (Registered Nurse) license. Certification in Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) and Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) are preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous employment with any Johns Hopkins health system facility, regardless of role (Staff, PRN, Travel), must be noted in the work history for rehire verification purposes.
• Additional Information: The primary coordinator manages daily patient flow, communicates with hospital leadership, facilitates centralized bed management, and functions as the operational lead for patient flow activities. The role requires coordination across departments to streamline patient throughput and bed utilization.
• Shift Details: Full-time night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Holiday Requirements: One winter holiday and one summer holiday; holiday shifts include the eve and day of the holiday.
