Medical And Mental Care For Danville City Jail Inmates
Responsible for the medical and mental care of Danville City Jail inmates. Dispensing on all medication; making medical appointments for inmates; ordering all medication and medical supplies needed to operate the jail efficiently; maintaining inmate medical records as specified by the Virginia Department of Corrections; treating inmates with minor injuries following jail doctors protocol; assisting the jail physician on his weekly sick call.
Knowledge of approved principles, practices and procedures of Sheriff's Office; knowledge of the rules and regulations of the Sheriff's Office; ability to analyze injuries or illnesses. Be able to take blood pressure, vein puncture, and other vitals etc. of inmates. Licensed LPN/EMT experience preferred.
Valid Driver's license. Schedule: To be discussed in interview.
