Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current and valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in New York State
• Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Previous experience working in school or pediatric settings preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Capability to adapt therapy plans to individual student needs
• Familiarity with IEPs and documentation requirements
• Organizational skills and reliability to manage a flexible caseload

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to students based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Conduct evaluations, create treatment plans, and monitor progress
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to facilitate student success
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and session documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise regarding students physical abilities and needs
• Offer education and guidance to school staff on adaptive equipment, mobility strategies, and safety
• Foster an encouraging atmosphere where students can gain confidence in their physical abilities
