Position Title Professor of Practice in Law Classification Title Professor of Practice Position Type Full Time Faculty Posting Type Internal/External Department Law - Instruction College College of Law Campus Atlanta Position Description Georgia State University College of Law currently invites applicants for a full‑time non‑tenure track professor of practice position to begin in June 2026. We are seeking applicants with significant practice, teaching, and/or research interests to perform a range of teaching and administrative responsibilities in the College of Law. The duties include teaching across a variety of subject areas to support the College of Law’s JD, LLM, Legal Analytics programs, and other programs as agreed. Potential courses include Legal Analytics, Evidence, Introduction to US Law, Professional Responsibility, Civil Procedure, Corporations, Remedies, Legislation and Regulation, Securities Regulation, and other courses as needed. The applicant will also support the Academic Success division by assisting students in preparation for the bar exam. Required Experience Prior experience teaching law courses. Required Education Applicants should have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school or foreign equivalent. Pre‑Employment Requirements A criminal background check is required.
