Position/Specialty: X-ray Tech

Years of Experience req: Minimum 2 years preferred; 1 year accepted if has experience full-time at a Level 1 trauma and Children’s Hospital, with demonstrated OR and Fluoroscopic study experience.

Call off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

Required Certifications: ARRT (R), BLS

Summary of Skills: Skilled in acute care imaging, including ER, ICU, NICU, PICU, and OR. Proficient in bedside/portable X-ray, trauma imaging, C-arm procedures, and fluoroscopic studies such as barium swallow/esophagram. Able to perform all aspects of X-ray independently. Ability to adapt to equipment-specific training as needed.

Experience Required: Level 1 trauma & Children’s Hospital experience required for 1-year candidates.

Floating: Yes. Floating required per Prisma Health policy. Staff may float to other units/campuses based on census and only to units they are qualified for and trained in.

Charting: Epic experience required

Submittals: Low

Orientation is every Monday. Pre Assignment testing (all RNs) and modules required for all travelers to complete within 48 hours of receiving the login information (which usually comes within 24 hours of the nurse signing their contract). Travelers are eligible for reimbursement for hours spent completing modules (up to 16 hours) and time will be verified upon start of contract. EMR experience: 1-year minimum experience with EPIC EMR required If you have any issues, please let the Account Manager or your CS know ASAP.
