Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students in a dynamic educational environment as a School Psychologist. This contract position offers the flexibility to work part-time or full-time, with schedules ranging from 20 to 35 hours per week based on your availability and preference. You’ll provide essential psychological and educational support across 2 to 3 elementary buildings, depending on your chosen hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and psychological assessments to identify student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective intervention plans
- Support individualized education programs (IEPs) and Section 504 plans
- Offer counseling services and crisis intervention as needed
- Participate in team meetings, consultation, and professional development opportunities
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations
- Travel between school sites with reimbursement provided for mileage
- Potential to arrange a hybrid remote schedule, depending on experience and district needs
Qualifications:
- Master’s or specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid school psychologist credential or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and preparing IEPs
- Strong collaboration skills and commitment to child-centered practices
- Ability to manage caseload across multiple elementary school locations
- Effective communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
